Snag’s Office team is looking for a Warehouse Assistant to assist and provide for the Office Manager , whom they are assigned to. We are looking for an individual that can operate a forklift and help manage while maintaining the flow of products and stock through the warehouse. Responsibilities
Oversees deliveries and pickups to insure quality and quantity of products.
Checks perpetual inventory regularly.
Recommends purchases to supervisor.
Loads and unloads materials and supplies using available hand trucks and front-end loaders.
Records deliveries and pickups.
Maintains inventory records and tracking system.
Determines appropriate places for storage.
Rotate stock as needed.
Monitors activities in the warehouse to ensure proper recording of outgoing materials.
Adjusts inventory levels to reflect receipts and disbursements.
Sweeps floor surfaces.
Empties trash receptacles; deposits recyclable material in proper receptacles.
Performs other related work as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Able to use a forklift.
Considerable knowledge of efficient warehousing practices.
Considerable knowledge of the warehousing organization, policies, and operating procedures to include functions relating to inventory and stock control procedures, record keeping and reporting of assets and inventory.
Considerable knowledge of paperwork associated with warehouse deliveries.
Considerable knowledge of local and state laws, regulations and policies regarding purchasing and warehouse maintenance.
Considerable knowledge of warehouse fire and safety codes.
Considerable knowledge of the principles of supervision, organization and administration.
General knowledge of maintenance required for warehouse equipment and vehicles.
Ability to maintain records, logs and reports.
Ability to maintain cleanliness of warehouse.
Ability to effectively express ideas orally and in writings.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments.
Qualifications
Must have reliable transportation for travel to/from work
Must have a clean driving record
Must be able to pass a drug screening
Must be able to lift 50 lbs+
